Producer credit

[edit]

Production is credited to Buggles, though Trevor Horn of course did most of the work. My site will prove that the group are credited as producing.Sposato (talk) 19:04, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I own the original Island LP and I confirm this. I have changed the article accordingly. IbLeo (talk) 17:55, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Upgraded the article

[edit]

I've bumped the article up from 'stub' to 'start' class, and rated it mid-importance. Still needs an info box. Jusdafax (talk) 00:33, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please clarify why you think the article needs an infobox? It already has one {{Infobox Album}}. – IbLeo (talk) 08:15, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Release year

[edit]

I got a copy of the original Island Records LP (ILPS-9585) and the year 1980 is clearly stated on the center label. Furthermore, on the inner sleeve, the copyrights year for half of the songs is 1980. All in all I believe this gives some really string indication that while the "Video Killed..." singles was released in 1979, the album only came out in 1980. Please don't change the release year except if you can provide a reliable source that says otherwise. – IbLeo (talk) 06:43, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IIRC, you are correct, the album came out in early/mid 1980. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.7.147.13 (talk) 15:28, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Discogs

[edit]

I'm not sure if discogs should be considered a reliable source. All the information on it is user generated, so I'm not sure if it should be considered a proper source. Andrzejbanas (talk) 17:41, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Discogs may not be a reliable source. Should we just cite the CDs or Vinyls themselves, and if so is there a certain way?

yep! try using Template:Cite album-notes. To be honest, it's not the best template wiki ever made, and it's a bit tricky to get all the information you might want on it. But there it is!Andrzejbanas (talk) 20:16, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Source

[edit]

Its mention here that a notable band was inspired by the Age of Plastic album. Could we use it? EditorEat ma talk page up, scotty! 23:05, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The text covers all major aspects and doesn't contain trivia.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
All of the information is fairly presented.
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
The two covers used in the article are properly licensed. Additional images would be unnecessary.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
Well, after a few suggestion of mine which you successfully completed, I'm happy to announce that this article is upgraded to GA.--Вик Ретлхед (talk) 22:05, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
